I'm so happy that you have broken the cycle of abuse with your kids. You sound like a great mom.

Just got off the phone with my mom and I feel weak from the emotions.
by kitten whiskers innothing major happened, i have just noticed that she doesn't say she loves me anymore.
i used to find it annoying.
i always felt like she only said it to guilt me into having to say that i loved her.

it was time to ride out to bury my brother.
my friend and i decided to ride together, and break off from the group because we were hungry, thirsty, and mentally screwy.

I REALLY DON'T CARE...............................
by Warlock ini believe in god, but i also realize he may not exist.. if you don't believe in god, i really don't care, i'm just curious.. i don't have this need to start threads like "why you must believe in god", or other such nonsense, but some of you still have this "control" issue that you thought you left in the org.
it seems like you must still try to control what others think.
"think like me, or you are an idiot.

I believe in God and have often not posted something that I would have loved to share because I know that athiests will rip into me and I just don't have the energy to keep on deffending my RIGHT to believe. I have the right to believe in God and I acknowledge that they have the right not to believe. I just don't understand why the one side have to argue and insult the otherside (that goes for both believers and non-believers).

UPDATE ON DANSK
by Physio init's been a long time since i posted here but i often read your messages when ian (dansk) logs on.
as most of you will know, ian will be going back into hospital on monday for an allogeneic stem cell transplant and will be away from the forum for a good few weeks (hopefully he'll be back home within 4-6 weeks).
last time he was in hospital many of you sent messages to his ward and i know they cheered him up immensely.

Are Jw's trained to be just plain mean spirited?
by AK - Jeff innot long ago, i would have defended them slightly with opinions about those 'under mind control' etc.
but the further i get from jw think, the more i believe that jw's are just plain mean and hateful asses!
two situations that i relate in my life.. 1- an elder i know works in a grocery store.

Sounds about right. The guest speaker at our church the other day said something that made me think. He said "You become like the God that you believe in" If you believe that God is vindictive , wrathful and mean you will act that way towards others. If you believe that God is love, kindness etc you will act that way towards others. JW have a god that is judgmental and mean, so it would make sense that they would act that way. You can apply that to any religion or faith.

My hubby just laid down some rules to my elder dad
by Es inrecently an elder called mike's mob phone wanting to speak to me, the only person who could have passed on that info was my elder dad.
mike has been waiting for my dad to call him to arrange to see the kids, as he wont deal with me at all.
so mike said to him i dont appreciate you giving our number out to the elders, we want nothing to do with them or your religion etc... mike than called me and said there was so much more i wanted to tell him.. i get a phone call about 30 mins later, mike had rang my dad and said if you want to see your grandkids then there are a few rules you will need to follow, 1. dont ever give out our personal details (which my dad apologised for and acknowldeged that he shouldnt have done that ) and 2. if you want to see your grandkids you need to speak to your daughter, you can msg her phone or even speak to her.
